Absolute Upholstery was established in 2006 by Jason Muncey and Simon Kiddie. Jason and Simon both attended the London Guildhall University, a leading college for furniture restoration and design. Jason learnt the skills of traditional and modern upholstery, while Simon studied furniture restoration, for both antique and modern furniture. This enabled them to provide a fully extensive range of upholstery services.
After leaving the London Guildhall, Jason and Simon gained invaluable practical experience working in the upholstery trade in London for over fifteen years. After honing their skills and with a new desire to take the upholstery world forward they started Absolute Upholstery.
We decided to take a very dynamic approach to the business and have worked very hard at developing good working relationships with all of our suppliers; from sundries to fabrics, to frames on our bespoke service. This way we know exactly what our customers are getting and we can offer very competitive rates.
Getting to know and understand our clients' needs is important to us. This way we feel we can advise confidently on suitable types of bespoke furniture, fabrics or other upholstery services that may be required. We are more than happy to visit clients at their home or business to discuss the various options or over the phone if preferred. Once we understand what it is our customers want, we will go out of our way to recreate their vision.
We pride ourselves on building a good working relationship with our clients. Whether a small stool or chair for a private dwelling or an extensive project for an office space, nightclub or live production, every customer is important and will experience the same quality of service.
We spend a lot of time talking through ideas with other interior designers, looking at unusual and often abstract styles of design and working out ways of creating new shapes with new materials. Absolute Upholstery is very happy and proud to work with all furniture, from the antiquated to the conceptual and have no fear of the new.
